While you’re making plans for PCBC, why not join us a day early and check out San Francisco’s most exciting new projects? On Tuesday, June 24 we’ll host two urban walking tours through the city where PCBC began. Choose one tour or both, and get a close look at the real estate that’s booming in the Bay Area!
Morning Tour: The morning tour begins nice and early at Moscone Center at 9:00am. From there the tour guides will take you on a short Muni ride (your ticket is included in your tour registration fee) to the Castro station and you’ll walk back (an easy downhill walk!) along Market Street to see several new urban structures, both for-sale and rental. The tour begins with a sales office tour for $1.2 million, 1050-square-foot condos and ends with a tour of upscale apartments next to Twitter’s headquarters. This 2.5-3 hour walk will demonstrate how San Francisco is blending the old and the new all while creating exciting rental units as small as 300 square feet that still capture the attention of modern buyers. The tour will also pass some “not yet redeveloped areas” so you get a chance to see all of the potential that exists in this busy and lively city.
Included in the Morning Tour will be sales office meetings and visits to some sample rental units for 3 different projects.
Afternoon Tour: Promptly at 1 pm, this tour will take a longer Muni ride (your ticket in included in your registration fee) to the centerpiece of Mission Bay, the University of California San Francisco Mission Bay campus, where you’ll meet up with the Morning Tour. Mission Bay is a completely new urban area for San Francisco, built on the site of the old Southern Pacific rail yards. It has been in planning and development since the 1980’s. But by moving much of the world class geonomic and biomedical research facilities here, UCSF kicked off a residential boom in this undeveloped part of the City. The tour will start at UCSF and walk and visit several new for-sale and rental buildings. As we head back to the Moscone Center, we will visit other rental properties and walk through the neighborhoods that are creating many of the mobile apps on your smart phones.
The Afternoon Tour is 3 hours long and include stops at 3 rental properties for tours and meetings with the sales staff and developers.
The price of this tour is $60 (single tour) OR $110 (both tours), including speakers and presentation materials. Lunch is included in the full day’s tour only.
Upon return to San Francisco, you are invited to join us for cocktails at networking from 4:30 – 6:00pm with fellow tour members. To register and purchase your ticket for either the morning walking tour, the afternoon walking tour, or both click HERE. To learn about this and other tours click HERE.
